Senior Manager, Revenue Enablement

Finance - San Francisco

About the Team

OpenAI Finance ensures the organization is positioned for long-term success as we pursue our mission. The Revenue team plays a critical role in enabling OpenAI to scale its commercial offerings — overseeing billing operations, deal desk, revenue systems, and revenue accounting. We work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams to support new monetization strategies, improve operational efficiency, and maintain financial integrity as the business grows.

About the Role

As OpenAI scales monetization across self-serve, enterprise, partnerships, ads, and emerging business models, we need a strong operator to represent Revenue requirements throughout product and systems development. This role will sit at the center of Finance, Revenue Operations, and Business Platform teams to ensure revenue capabilities are designed, tested, and launched in a scalable and controlled way.

This role will serve as the business-side owner for Revenue requirements, translating accounting, operational, billing, reporting, and controls needs into actionable requirements across Business Platform and Transformation teams. This person will drive process design, launch readiness, UAT, and continuous improvement across quote-to-cash and revenue operations workflows.

This is an ideal role for someone who combines revenue domain expertise, operational judgment, structured problem solving, and strong cross-functional influence.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Serve as Revenue's primary business representative for monetization, operational, and systems initiatives.

  • Define accounting, operational, billing, reporting, and controls requirements for new products and business models.

  • Translate Revenue Accounting, Billing Operations, Deal Desk, and Finance requirements into clear business requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Partner with Business Platform, Transformation, GTM Systems, Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Product teams to support new monetization models and operational changes.

  • Lead Revenue UAT planning, launch readiness reviews, and business signoff processes.

  • Design scalable operational processes and controls that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.

  • Evaluate operational impacts, risks, and downstream process implications of product and systems changes.

  • Drive continuous improvement across quote-to-cash workflows, reporting, and data quality.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years in Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting, Technical Revenue, Billing Operations, Deal Desk, Finance Transformation, or Business Operations. Experience supporting monetization, pricing, or quote-to-cash processes in a technology company.

  • Deep familiarity with quote-to-cash workflows (CRM, CPQ, billing, ERP, reporting).

  • Experience defining business requirements and partnering with systems teams to deliver solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Strong understanding of operational controls, launch readiness, and process scalability.

  • Knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue-related controls.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Workplace & Location

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
