GPT-6 Rosalind Research in Work, Codex, and the API

Released GPT‑6 Rosalind, bringing specialized biological reasoning with scientific tool use to complex life sciences research. Access is available to organizations approved for Rosalind Research through the trusted-access program for internal research by authorized users.

GPT‑6 Rosalind Research is rolling out to a limited set of approved Enterprise customers for life sciences research in Work and Codex. Access requires Research approval for your organization and user. It is not available in the Chat tab.

The model starts in a two-week Admin Preview and is off by default. Admins can enable approved Research users and configure access for after the preview. Existing Research approval does not bypass this preview.

In Work or Codex, select GPT‑6 Rosalind Research in the model picker. Customers can continue to use GPT‑5.5 Rosalind Research for existing workflows.

More Work and Codex usage on Pro and Business Premium Plans

We’re increasing the Work and Codex usage included in Pro and Business Premium plans. Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance.

We’ve also canceled the Pro 200 reduction announced in our September 29 email. If you already had the higher Work and Codex allowance, you keep it. Starting October 29, Pro 200 subscribers on the lower allowance get twice their previous Work and Codex allowance, bringing them up to the same limit.

Texting your dot

Texting your dot is starting to roll out in beta to Pro users in the U.S.

Your dot is now just a text away. Reach your dot safely and securely, through iMessage or RCS. Your dot will also text you proactively with updates that may be relevant for you.

Your dot can only text you, and you’re the only one who can text your dot. This doesn’t give your dot or OpenAI access to your other text conversations.

To get started, open your dot’s profile in ChatGPT and select Texting. Make sure iMessage is enabled on your iPhone or RCS is enabled on your Android phone. Texting your dot shares the same memory and plugins as your dot in the ChatGPT app, so context carries over.

We use Linq, a third-party messaging provider, to send and receive texts for your dot. As part of our partnership with Linq, we’ve done extensive penetration testing with our frontier models and third-party security firms.

Changes to automatic thinking

We’ve retired automatic switching from Instant to higher thinking levels for ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu. The related control no longer appears under Workspace settings > Models.

Note that this does not apply to workspaces configured for specialized medical routing.

For tasks that need more reasoning, select an available thinking level in the model picker. Your options depend on your workspace’s model-access settings and assigned roles. Legacy models may still route requests automatically for safety or personal-finance features.
