Financial Services Terms

These Financial Services Terms apply to OpenAI’s financial plugins and ChatGPT for Financial Services (together, “Financial Services”). Financial Services provide information and tools for financial research and analysis, including data and content from third-party data partners (“Partner Data”).

When you or your End Users access or use Partner Data through Financial Services, Partner Data terms apply, including the partner-specific terms and notices set out below.

Financial Services and their Output are provided for informational purposes. OpenAI does not provide financial or investment advice through Financial Services, and they are not a substitute for independent professional judgment. Nothing provided through Financial Services constitutes an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold a security or other financial product.

Data and Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or out of date. Review important information, including its sources, dates, and calculations, and use your own judgment before relying on it. Independently verify prices before trading and seek advice from a qualified professional when appropriate. You remain responsible for decisions made using Financial Services.

You and your End Users must comply with the Partner Data terms applicable to your respective use. This may include limits on copying, downloading, storage, model training, creation of derived data, or redistribution of Partner Data, including Partner Data incorporated into Output. An export or sharing feature does not expand the rights granted under those terms. Data partners retain their rights in their data; your ownership of Output, as between you and OpenAI, does not include Partner Data. Nothing in these terms of the Services Agreement results in a transfer of those underlying rights.

Subject to the foregoing, your agreement with OpenAI, including its applicable warranty disclaimers, indemnification provisions, and limitations of liability, continues to apply. Additional partner disclaimers and limitations are set out below. 

Access to Partner Data may be suspended or terminated for use inconsistent with these terms.

Data coverage and timing vary by source and dataset. Check the source timestamp and any delay label when using market information. The time shown for source data does not guarantee that an AI response reflects the latest market conditions. 

The following provisions apply to the relevant partner’s data.

You may use that data for your internal business operations, including internal research and analysis, subject to the following restrictions.

You and your End Users may not:

• Use PitchBook data to train, fine-tune, ground, or otherwise develop any model, algorithm, or model weights.
• Reconstitute PitchBook data in whole or substantial part, or commercially offer reconstituted PitchBook data as a standalone data feed.
• Download or export substantial portions of PitchBook data as raw data on a standalone basis.
• Input PitchBook data into a customer relationship management application or other database.
• Use PitchBook data as a factor in establishing an individual’s eligibility for employment, or for credit or insurance used primarily for personal, family, or household purposes.
• Use PitchBook data to develop, improve, or provide a product or service that competes with PitchBook’s data products or services. This restriction does not prohibit internal business operations, including internal research and analysis, subject to the other restrictions above.

Nasdaq Basic with NLS Plus data made available through Financial Services is delayed by at least 15 minutes.

Reuters content may be used through Financial Services for internal business. Where downloading is available, it is permitted in PDF, Word, Excel, or CSV format solely for your internal business use, subject to the restrictions below. Your access does not include permission to use Reuters content, or data, signals, or Output based on it, to train, develop, or fine-tune foundational, general-purpose, generative, embedding-based, or other AI models that create persistent encodings of their training data, or to create or operate a substitute for the licensed Reuters content.

The “Information Product” is any data or service provided by Refinitiv. Refinitiv or its third-party providers own and retain all rights, title and interest, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, patents, database rights, trade secrets, know-how, and all other intellectual property rights or forms of protection of similar nature or having equivalent effect, anywhere in the world, in the Information Product, and user is not granted any proprietary interest therein or thereto. The Information Product constitutes confidential information and trade secrets of Refinitiv or its third-party providers. Display, performance, reproduction, distribution of, or creation of derivative works or improvements from the Information Product in any form or manner is expressly prohibited, except to the extent expressly permitted hereunder, or otherwise with the prior written permission of Refinitiv.

User may use the Information Product for internal purposes only. User may copy, paste and distribute internally only an insubstantial amount of the data contained in the Information Product provided that: (a) the distribution is incidental to or supports user’s business purpose; (b) the data is not distributed by user in connection with information vending or commercial publishing (in any manner or format whatsoever), and is not reproduced through the press or mass media or on the Internet; and (c) where practicable, user clearly identifies Refinitiv or its third-party providers as the source of the data. Data will be considered an “insubstantial amount” if such amount (a) has no independent commercial value; or (b) could not be used by the recipient as a substitute for any product or service (including any download service) provided by Refinitiv or a substantial part of it.

User acknowledges that access to certain elements of the Information Product may cease or may be made subject to certain conditions by Refinitiv or upon the instructions of its third-party provider. 

NEITHER REFINITIV NOR ITS THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS WARRANT THAT THE PROVISION OF THE INFORMATION PRODUCT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR FREE, TIMELY, COMPLETE OR ACCURATE, NOR DO THEY MAKE ANY WARRANTIES AS TO THE RESULTS TO BE OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SAME. USE OF THE INFORMATION PRODUCT AND RELIANCE THEREON IS AT USER’S SOLE RISK.
