Early Access Terms

We are inviting safety researchers to apply to receive API access to our forthcoming frontier models, including o3-mini, to advance frontier safety (“Early Access Services”). Your access to OpenAI API services generally is subject to our Business Terms⁠. By choosing to participate in and use our Early Access Services, you agree to the following additional terms:

• Your use of the Early Access Services is only for safety research purposes. Do not share your access rights with anyone else. 

• The Early Access Services are a “Beta Service” under our Service Terms⁠ and subject to change, interruption, and cancellation. We may review prompts and completions to enforce these terms, and we may stop providing you access to any features or functionality without prior notice.

• Do not use the Early Access Services to: (a) distill OpenAI models; (b) extract or try to extract OpenAI technology or intellectual property; (c) use outputs to train a model; or (d) infringe any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights. You agree to use the Services in compliance with applicable law.

• You are not required to provide any feedback to OpenAI. However, if you do provide feedback, you agree that OpenAI may use that feedback without restriction.
