GPT-6.1 Sol in Codex, ChatGPT Work, and the API

GPT‑6.1 Sol offers near-Astra performance for complex work at a lower cost than Astra. Consider it for repeated, long-running work across code, apps, and documents. Availability depends on your plan, client, and workspace settings.

Use gpt-6.1-sol.

Released GPT‑6.1 Sol (gpt-6.1-sol) for complex coding and professional work at a lower cost than GPT‑6 Astra. Standard pricing per 1M tokens for prompts with up to 272K input tokens is $2 input, $0.10 cached input, $2.50 cache write, and $10 output.

GPT‑6.1 Sol also supports Multi-agent in beta. Let the model delegate work to subagents in a Responses API request.

GPT‑6.1 Sol improves on GPT‑6 Sol in agentic coding, computer use, and professional work. We’re rolling it out in ChatGPT Work and Codex, starting with Pro users and expanding to Plus, Business, Enterprise, and Edu. Enterprise and Edu workspace owners can enable model access in Workspace settings > Permissions & roles, on the Workspace tab or through a custom role.
